A Letter to My Future Embaby

Dear Precious Embaby,

It has taken your Daddy and me several years to make you. You see my body wasn’t quite ready and it wasn’t your time to make your grand appearance into this Earthly world. But, you have been prayed over and loved every single day. You are wanted and when it’s time for you to grow we will be here waiting for you. My womb may be empty as its waiting for you to take your place, but my heart is full of love.

Your Daddy and I have thought about what your name will be, who you will look like, your nursery ideas have been saved. We’ve wondered about your personality-will you be spontaneous and social like your Daddy or a planner, thinker, and reader like me? Precious Embaby no matter what this life holds for you-you will be more than we ever dreamed.

So, as our journey to you takes a different path than most Mommas and Daddies may you know that each step we’ve taken, each choice we’ve made, each treatment we’ve gone through has been done out of love and longing for you. Before you were even created you were wanted.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” -Jeremiah 1:5

Until I can hold you in my arms I will hold you in my heart.

All my love precious one,

Your Future Momma

P.S. If you’re a fellow infertility sister, I’d love to hear your story and add you to my prayer list. Infertility is lonely in a world full of babies so, it’s nice knowing you’re not alone.

P.P.S. If you’re in the midst of a trial or you are releasing your expectations, I’d love to hear from you and add you to my prayer list, too.
