Request Prayer

Hi Dear Friend,

One of my favorite verses has always been Hebrews 13:2, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”  In life outside of my blog, we may be mere strangers, but friend the Bible tells us that we may have unknowingly entertained angels.  You see, your path has brought you here to my blog.  You are a blessing to me and I pray my hospitality has shown through my words and you’ve felt welcomed and loved.

While I may never get the opportunity to offer you a cup of coffee, a piece of chocolate, or a hug in the “real” world, there is one thing that I can offer you and that is prayer.  We are one family with the same Heavenly Father.  And, there is nothing more I’d love to do for than to offer you a shoulder to lean on, encouragement through your daily struggles, praise in your triumphs, and prayer when you need it most.  You’re not alone.  I am here.

I am here to pray for you when your future seems shaky.

I am here to pray for you when the bonds of your painful past are gripping you tightly.

I am here to pray for you when you need wisdom through the confusion.

I am here to pray for you when you are discouraged and defeated.

I am here to pray for you when you get the bad news from the doctor.

I am here to pray for you when you see a negative pregnancy test…again.

I am here to pray for you when your spouse seems to not care.  Or ignores you.  Or decides this battle is too much and walks out the door.

I am here to pray for you when your situation looks impossible.

I am here for you…

And, I am here to pray for you when you follow God’s path into the future.

I am here to pray for you as you create new memories to overshadow the hurt of the past.

I am here to pray for you when you are full of hope and become a conqueror.

I am here to pray for you and rejoice with you when you get the good news from the doctor.

I am here to pray for you when you finally see that positive pregnancy test.

I am here for you when your spouse loves you, comforts you, and walks hand-in-hand on this journey with you.

I am here when your situation looks possible.

I am here for you…

You see, dear friend, I am here for you.  Through the bad, through the good, and in the in-between.  I am here for you.  To lift you up before our Savior.  To help carry your burdens.  So, dear friend, if you are going through a difficult time or even if you’ve reached the top of your mountain, feel free to reach out to me.  I may be a stranger in real life, but we’re one big happy family in Christ.  I never had a sister growing up, I was blessed with two wild little brothers, but I consider you my sister in Jesus, and what are sisters for?  We’re here for each other and we pray for each other.  So, please, dear friend, do not hesitate.  Comment below with your prayer request or send an e-mail to straightmissteps@gmail.com.  It would be my honor and privilege to pray for you.
