Bent not Broken

Each of us will travel this journey of life. Our journeys may all look completely different or eerily similar, but the fact remains none of us will reach the end without scars upon our hearts. Not one of us will escape this journey unscathed. But, dear friend, I’m here to tell you that if you’re in the midst of a trial, if you’re in your lowest valley, you’re not broken-just bent.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” -Ephesians 2:10

Our Father is working on us-in every trial and triumph he is shaping us for good work. He’s not forgotten you-He’s not forgotten me. He’s with us each step we make. And, the only way to move out of that valley is to keep moving forward. You can’t drive a car by only looking in the rearview mirror. You must focus on what’s ahead, not what’s behind. The only way to move through your trial is to focus on who holds our future. Faith will guide you forward.

This trial may be long, the valley may be low, but the journey through is full of blessings and lessons we may not have learned otherwise. The season you’re in dear friend is only bending you, shaping you-you are bent, not broken.
