Be in The Presence

It’s Christmas Eve morning and as I sit here cuddling my fur baby, sipping my coffee, and watching some silly movie the hubby has on TV my heart is turned towards our Savior. You see you don’t have to have peace and quiet or be completely alone to feel the presence of our Father. He’s with you in all the moments. The happy moments, the silly moments, the sad moments.

This year is my 5th Christmas Eve without hearing the pitter patter of little feet running through my home. And while my heart longs to be holding a tiny human and not just the fur baby in my lap, I have faith in knowing God is preparing my heart while I’m in this season of wait. He is growing me in this journey. And I choose to remain in His Presence holding on to my faith. If you are in a season of wait, my prayer is that you find shelter in His Presence, as well.

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” -Hebrews 11:1

You see dear one, He desires us to live in His Presence. To grow in Him. All but two of my Christmas presents have been wrapped, but I’ve already received the greatest gift.

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” -Isaiah 7:14

My Christmas prayer for you is that you take a moment and rejoice in His Presence and not just glorify the presents you will receive today and tomorrow. Give thanks for the blessings received and unseen. And, give praise for the gift we received in that humble manger all those years ago.

~Blessings

P.S. If you’re a fellow infertility sister, I’d love to hear your story and add you to my prayer list. Infertility is lonely in a world full of babies so, it’s nice knowing you’re not alone.

P.P.S. If you’re in the midst of a trial or season of wait, I’d love to hear from you and add you to my prayer list, too.
